Aunt Ella and Uncle John lived at 30 Doncaster Street in Roslindale, Massachusetts for most of their married life. They were the proud parents of two sons, JOHN EMIL and PAUL EDWARD. JOHN E. PARKER was killed in action in Holland on November 5, 1944. PAUL E. PARKER died on November 6, 1998, after waging a courageous battle with a terminal illness. The PARKER family is gone now, and sadly missed by relatives and friends.

Uncle John was a decorated veteran of World War I, and after returning home from the Great War, Uncle John legally changed his name from John Julius Pakulat to John Julius Parker on July 13, 1922. This fact was unknown to me until after his sole surviving son, Paul Edward Parker, died on November 6, 1998.
